Las Vegas is a treasure trove of things to do and see, and one of the first considerations any traveler needs to make is where they want to stay. While staying on the Strip seems like the ultimate way to have an amazing experience, that’s far from the truth. On-Strip hotels are often much more expensive or, alternatively, more run down than the options off the Strip.
Just because you’re not on the main street doesn’t mean you’ll be far from the action, either. Many of the best hotels are connected via a monorail system, so you can quickly get to where you’re going, even if it’s not close enough to travel by foot.
There are many benefits to staying off the main Strip, from more accommodation options to the ability to get better deals. You’ll also be able to better split your time between Las Vegas’ other hotspots, like the Convention Center or the shopping areas!

4. Treasure Island Hotel and Casino
This tropical treasure trove of a hotel and casino is home to a Cirque du Soleil performance and fun-themed water parks. This fun hotel is within easy reach of the Fashion Show Mall, which you can get to via a pedestrian bridge.
The rooms themselves are warmly furnished, with suites coming with a whirlpool tub. On-site, you’ll find nine restaurants and several bars. Spend your time at the on-site casino, or alternatively, hit up the spa for some deep-tissue relaxation.
5. Sunset Station
This stunning hotel and casino offers some striking views thanks to its stained glass roof and décor. If you’re looking for a place where it feels like it’s golden hour every hour, head to Sunset Station. The warm-toned stained glass windows and ceiling brighten the space and make the casino floor feel like you’re outside basking in a sunset.
You’ll also be right next door to the Galleria at Sunset shopping center. This shopping center is home to an IMAX theater and a bowling center, making it a great choice for those who want a bit of a quieter experience that’s still jam-packed with fun. In summer, however, it’s the perfect spot to catch the many live acts hosted by the outdoor concert space in the area.
