About the Role:
We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Richmond, CA. This hands-on role plays a vital part in managing the flow of inventory in a dynamic warehouse environment. You’ll handle everything from unloading shipments to managing documentation and supporting logistics operations.
Schedule:
🕖 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
🕒 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
(Some schedule flexibility may be required)
Pay & Benefits:
💰 $20.00 – $21.00/hour

Responsibilities:
Unload and inspect deliveries and ingredients
Track and scan inventory (daily freezer inventory and product movement logs)
Print shipping labels and prepare items for shipment
Maintain accurate records: BOLs, invoices, purchase orders
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and transportation teams
Address shipping discrepancies (shortages, damage)
Operate in indoor, outdoor, and freezer environments
Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
Effective communication and team collaboration
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
Proficient in organizing tight spaces
Experience using electric forklifts, pallet jacks, or scissor lifts is a plus
Ability to work in freezer environments
Completion of forklift inspection forms
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, collaborative setting using technology (scan guns, inventory tools). FIFO-based inventory system. Work may involve both indoor and outdoor tasks — including cold storage conditions.
